NEWTON Services for David Burns Stanley will be held today at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bryan Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stanley, 63, of Newton, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired sheet metal worker and welder from Delco Remy Corp. He was a Methodist, a shriner and a mason.
Survivors include his wife, Mary W. Stanley of Newton; his mother, Mary Burns Stanley of Mobile, Ala.; several nephews, cousins, five great-nephews and three great-nieces.

YORK, Ala. Services for Wilma "Mrs. Johnnie" Pounds will be held today at 3 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Coy Miller and Ernie Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Clay Memorial Cemetery in Cuba.
Mrs. Pounds, 80, of Cuba, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Doten of Roswell, Ga.; a son, Jack Pounds of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Nola T. Stewart of York and Eula Mae Stallings of Cuba; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

VICKSBURG Services for Danny Harrison will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Chip Starnks officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. in Beulah Cemetery in Little Rock.
Mr. Harrison, 54, of Vicksburg, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at River Region Hospital in Vicksburg. He was a native of Newton County and lived in Vicksburg for the past 32 years.
He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a civil engineer. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Vicksburg.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie Harrison, daughters, Gina H. Channell and Gina Frances Hull, all of Vicksburg; his son, John David Harrison of Mathiston; his parents, Buford E. Harrison and Evelyn Harrison of Meridian; a sister, Shelia H. Miller of Meridian; grandchildren, Carra Channell and Steven Channell, both of Vicksburg.
Memorials can be made to Bovina Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
CLARENCE SMITH

Graveside services for Clarence Smith will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Meehan Cemetery, with the Rev. Wayne Campbell officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith, 71, of Chunky, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, in his home. He was retired from Barber and Son Plumbing.
Survivors include his former wife, Bonnie White; his daughter, Sandra Galloway and a grandson, Christopher Heiser, both of Lauderdale; brothers, Thomas Smith of Chunky, Hansel Smith and Dee Smith, both of Jackson and Robert Earl Smith of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Gertrude Smith.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for James L. Naylor will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Blackwater Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Clark officiating. Burial will be in Blackwater Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Naylor, 69, of Meridian, died Monday, May 6, 2002, in Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Naylor, step children, William L. Johnson Jr., Frederick L. Johnson, John Johnson, Linda Kelly and Charles Johnson, his sister, Annie Pearl Gathright, brothers, Williams B. Naylor, Charles Naylor and Luke Naylor, all of Meridian.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

JACKSON Memorial services for James Alton Embrey Sr. will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Chunky with Mark Seepe Funeral Home and Crematorium in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Embrey, 68, of Chunky, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at the G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery Veteran Administration Medical Center. Mr. Embrey was a lifelong resident of Chunky,and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
He entered the U.S. Navy in June of 1941 where he served until 1954. After the service, he was a maintenance mechanic and retired form St. Louis Blow Pipe of Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Sue Embrey of Chunky; daughters, Beth Stokes and her husband, Chris, of Meridian, Tami Burke and her husband, Jerry, of Little Rock, and Debbie Olds and her husband, Ray, of Reno, Nev.; a son, James Alton Embrey Jr. and his wife, Eva, of Chunky; a sister, Janice Erickson of Chunky; brothers, Alfred Embrey and William Embrey, both of Chunky, Bill Embrey of Bloomington, Calif., Charlie Embrey of Newton and Don Embrey of Big Bear, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
