Ed Quijava stood on the side of Interstate 20/59 Wednesday with his hand propped on his Vectra Winnebago, wondering what went wrong.
Minutes earlier, about 1:15 p.m., Quijava's Winnebago apparently swerved and skidded into the back of three other vehicles in the westbound lane of I-20/59 just beyond the 29th Avenue exit in Meridian.
Detective Deano Harper of the Meridian Police Department said he is not aware of any citations issued concerning the incident and an accident report had not been completed earlier today.
The wreck sent two unidentified motorists to a local hospital with what witnesses said appeared to be non-serious injuries. Traffic in the westbound lane was backed up for more than hour as workers cleared the road of debris.
It was the fourth accident on the interstate this past week resulting in injuries. The three other accidents occurred near areas of I-20/59 that are being upgraded by the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
Wednesday's wreck, however, was not near any construction.
Candace Jenkins, whose white Pontiac Grand Am was one of the three vehicles hit by the Winnebago, said she wasn't sure how the wreck started.
