Services for M.E. "Buck" Greene will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Bob Simmons and Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Greene, 90, of Meridian, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was owner of Buck Greene Realty Company. He was a lifetime member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a trustee. He was a Hamasa Temple Shriner, a member and past president of the Optimist Club, and past president of the Mississippi Lung Association. He was an avid fisherman and golfer.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Greene Rhinehart and her husband, W.G., a grandson, Grady Rhinehart and his wife, Dana, two great-grandchildren, Adam Manley Rhinehart and Benjamin W. Rhinehart, all of Ardmore; two brothers, Philip Blackwell of Prattville, Ala., and T.C. Blackwell of Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Griffin Greene.
Memorials may be made to Meridian Community College, St. Jude's Children Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., or the Mississippi Lung Association.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elgy Yarbrough, Sam Forbert, Joe Reeves, Charlie Bancroft, Cecil Germany and Edmond Moore.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Lonnie Terrell Talbert will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church with the Revs. Jackie Strebeck and Larry Hankins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Talbert, 53, of Laurel, Mont., died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 18 years and in the Magnolia Militia. He was co-pilot for the Phantom Jet Fighters.
Survivors include his wife, Jovaunia Davis Talbert of Laurel, Mont.; his children, Leah Marie Parker of Gulfport, Murrel E.R. Talbert II of Laurel, Mont., Patsy Ann Smith of Chunky, Heather Rene Horsman of Havre, Mont., and Candice Ann Jones of Little Rock; his parents, Murrel and Ina Faye Talbert of Duffee; a sister, Teresa Nicholson and her husband, Clinton, of Brighten, Colo.; grandchildren, Jonathan Ray Parker, Colton Parker, Derick Parker and Derrin Parker, all of Gulfport, Catelin Smith and Nathan Smith, both of Chunky.
Pallbearers will be in Murrel Talbert II, Charles Ray Parker, Scott Smith, Grady Nicholson, Marty Jones and Jeremiah Horsman.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Norma R. Covington will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hal Bates officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Covington, 72, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, in Meridian. She was retired from Lockheed-Martin Corp. and was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and the W.M.U. at the church.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Joiner and his wife, Debbie, of Russell, Bennie C. Joiner and his wife, Barbara, of Laporte, Colo., and Jackie Joiner and his wife, Lynn, of Collinsville; five brothers, Thomas Miller and his wife, Jane, of Union, James Miller and his wife, Mary Ann, of Illinois, Jimmy Miller and his wife, Darlas of Demoinne, Iowa, Lester Miller and his wife, Lessie Jo, of Newton, and Hubert Miller of Clarksdale; six grandchildren, Johnny Joiner and his wife, Karen, Regina Joiner, Lenny Joiner and his wife, Vonda, Greg Joiner, Mandy Herring and her husband, Marty, and Kevin Joiner and his wife, Cary; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Delmos Miller; and her mother, Alice Joiner.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hamilton, Lenny Joiner, Greg Joiner, Johnny Joiner, Jerry Joiner and Donald Boswell.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
