Recent changes to FCT website

Franklin County Times readers who enjoy getting the latest news and sports updates from the award-winning FCT website will notice some changes recently made to the site.

This past week, the FCT site began featuring advertisement surveys on most stories that are posted to the site.

These surveys require the reader to answer questions in order to read the full article.

The surveys were previously only seen on archived stories.

FCNI general manager Nicole Pell said the surveys are an alternative to having readers pay to view articles online.

“We know that many people rely on our website to find out what is going on in our community,” Pell said.

“We wanted to avoid having our readers pay to view the online articles, so the advertisement surveys were the best alternative in order to keep the articles on our site free to view.

“We appreciate all of our readers being understanding of this necessary change.”
