Katie Frances Roberts

Mrs. Katie Frances Roberts, 75, died Feb. 13 at North Mississippi Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Lee County, Mississippi, May 5, 1947, to the union of Elmer B. Williams and Jettie Frances Lansdell Williams. She was a member of the American Legion Riders, Post 49. Katie married Gerry Roberts July 24, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

In her earlier years, Katie enjoyed hunting. She became an avid cat fisherman and enjoyed crocheting, gardening and camping at Slick Rock RV Park. She was a great cook, enjoyed dancing and loved animals, especially her dog, Heidi Ziggie.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Gerry Roberts, of Russellville; sons, Stephen Michael Collier of Tupelo, Miss., and William Ashley Roberts (Tammy) of Saltillo, Miss.; daughters, Marsha West (Donnie) of Mantachie, Miss., and Deanna Laird (Jason) of Meridian, Miss.; brothers, Nathen Williams (Denise), Thealbert Williams (Lori), Jimmy Williams (Dorothy), Buddy Williams (Alice) and Mikey Williams; sisters, Margie Palmer (Robert), Grace Jones and Tressell Cleo Hurley (Raymond); grandchildren, Katrina Taylor (Jesse), John Michael Tull (Courtney), Waylon Pollard (Abby), Tyler Roberts, Layla Grace Roberts, Laken Laird and Reagan Laird; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Gavin Pollard, Addison Pollard, Nala Taylor, Carter Taylor, Zayden Taylor, Zane Taylor and Miley Pollard.

The family will receive friends Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel, Holland Funeral Directors, with a graveside service following at 2:30 p.m. at White Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1266 Kings Highway, Pontotoc, MS, with the Rev. Kenny McGill officiating.
