PC Dixie Youth All-Stars continue to shine

The Phil Campbell 12U Dixie Youth All-Stars continued to shine this weekend. Coming off a dominating performance last week, the 12U team continued to pummel teams in their way, beating Hamilton 15-0 and Red Bay 21-1.

The team will advance to the state tournament at Headland on June 23-26.

In the Hamilton game, Eli Baker pitched two innings and Max Robinson pitched one inning. Miles Duboise, Ty Hamilton, Eli Baker and Noah Miller all had two hits each.

In the Red Bay game, Kruz Cochran pitched two innings and Ty Hamilton closed it out pitching one inning.

Phil Campbell went deep three times in the game with Cochran and Robinson hitting home runs. Ty Hamilton belted a grand slam.

The Phil Campbell 8U team was eliminated. The 10U team was playing on Monday for a chance to advance to the state tournament.

The Phil Campbell 6U team also went undefeated, beating Sheffield 13-2, Red Bay 20-2, 19-3 and 16-15 and Haleyville 16-1.

The 6U team is made up of Zander Maddox, August Hamlet, Beau Harris, Beck Waid, Ben Duboise, Bentley Franklin, Carson White, Chase Vandiver, Ellie Williams, Gunnar Rambo, Jacob Adam’s and Kenden Snider.

They will travel to Dothan on June 23 to play in the state tournament.

Last week the 12U team placed first out of five teams in round robin action. The 6U team placed first in round robin action. The 10U team placed second out of six teams.
