Loise Ford Poss, 92, Russellville, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Poss proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member and deacon of Southside Baptist Church and enjoyed working with the VFW.

He loved planting flowers and spending time with his family.

The visitation will be 12 – 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel.

The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with military honors. Bro. Daniel Welborn will be officiating.

Burial will be at Duncan Creek Cemetery.

He is survived by his children, Vick Poss, Martha Phillips and husband, Bill, Deb Kenyon and husband, Dale, Jef Poss and wife, Marti; grandchildren, Christy Donahoe, Angie Wilson and husband, Clifton, Brad Poss, Jeremy Donahoe, Nic Poss, Tammy Porter and husband, Scott, Trevor Poss, Crysta Poss; great-grandchildren, Mason Donahoe, Will Donahoe, Ally Poss, Devin Wilson, Bryson Poss, Cayden Porter, Easton Porter, Eric Doughtery, Phillip Doughtery; foster-great-grandchildren, Pamelah, Kylie; special cousin, Grady Fuller; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Effie Poss; parents, A.C. & Rosie Poss; brothers, Clayton Poss, Wilmer Poss, Johnny Poss; and sister, Ollie Rea.

The pallbearers will be Brad Poss, Nic Poss, Trevor Poss, Jeremy Donahoe, Mason Donahoe, Clifton Wilson, and Scott Porter.

The honorary pallbearers will be Will Donahoe and Devin Wilson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Advantage, especially Melissa Duncan, Gena Pinkard, Steve Butler, and all the many caregivers in our Dad’s life throughout the years.
