Lillian “Peggy” Carlisle

Lillian “Peggy” Carlisle, 74, of Russellville, left this world surrounded by her family on Feb. 20.

Visitation will be Feb. 24 from noon to 2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home with a 2 p.m. service Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens with Bro. Daniel Welborn officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Mansell, Christian Sandy, Nicolas Sandy, Logan Sandy and Jesse Hamm.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Harriett Willis; husband, Raymond Mansell; and five siblings. She is survived by her children, Darrell Mansell, Rickey Mansell and wife Karen, Michael Sandy and wife Jennifer; and siblings, Tommy Willis and Bobby Willis.

Mrs. Carlisle was blessed with four grandsons, Dylan Mansell, Christian Sandy, Nicholas Sandy and Logan Sandy.

The family would like to wish a special thank you to Burns Nursing Home and Hospice of North Alabama.
