Wayne Co. baseball coach dies
in wreck

Wayne County head baseball coach Joey Culotta was killed in a head-on automobile collision on Friday night in Jackson.
The accident occurred near the Ross Barnett Reservoir when a truck hit the Honda Accord Culotta was driving, head-on. Culotta, 26, was killed. Two passengers and the driver of the truck were injured.
Services will be held at Alphonas Catholic Church in McComb on Tuesday. Visitation is set for Hartman Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. in McComb on Monday.
Culotta played baseball for Oxford High School and then went to Delta State. He finished school at Mississippi State.
Wayne County Football and Soccer Booster Club president Alton Mills said Culotta will be missed.
The War Eagles qualified for the 5A playoffs last season but were eliminated in the second round by eventual 5A South State Champ Oak Grove.
