Red Bay topples Falkville

The Red Bay Tigers took a critical step toward a playoff berth with a dominating 44-22 win over the Falkville Blue Devils Friday night.

Edgmon completed touchdown passes of 33, 37, 29 and 58 yards to receiver Holden Inman.

Red Bay and Falkville scored on both of their initial possessions, Red Bay on a 33-yard completion from Edgmon to Inman. Falkville on a 71-yard run.

After the initial back-and-forth, Red Bay scored three straight touchdowns, two on passes from Edgmon to Inman of 37 yards and 29 yards. The third was a 54-yard run by Jaxon Vinson giving the Tigers a commanding 30-8 lead.

After Falkville briefly stopped Red Bay by scoring, the Tigers were back at it scoring two more times on a four-yard run by Edgmon and 58-yard pass from Edgmon to Inman giving Red Bay a 44-14 lead.

Inman got the job done on the defensive side of the ball as well with seven tackles. Will West led Red Bay’s defense with eight tackles, and Eli Farris had seven tackles as well.
