Tharptown Wildcats sweeps Meek Tigers

The Tharptown Wildcats stepped out of area play to pick up a sweep of the Meek Tigers 17-6 and 5-4.

Dawson Higgins went three-for-three with a triple and two singles, two RBI and scored four runs to lead the Wildcats at the plate.

Logan Bevis got the win on the mound, pitching a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out 11.

Joah Wilcoxson had a double and two singles, two RBI and scored four runs. Hunter Reynolds tripled and singled, had a RBI and scored twice. Jackson Clement doubled, had two RBI and scored two runs.

In game two, Higgens practically willed the Wildcats to a victory himself at the plate with another big game. He came a home run from hitting the cycle with a triple, double and single, as well as scoring three times.

Clement and Jessie Mitchell were the only other batters to register a hit in the game.

Mitchell, Clement and Dylan Dolley combined to give up four hits and strike out eight batters from the mound.
