BUTLER A year older and a year wiser could spell success for Patrician Academy.
Last year the Saints finished the year with a 5-6 overall record while finishing 4-3 in AISA Class AA Region 1.
Archibald is in his second year as head coach of Patrician. Previously he coached for nine years at Choctaw County High School.
Archibald said he prefers to see his team run the ball.
Standing in the way to success is a difficult schedule that includes Marengo Academy, last year's AISA Class AA champion.
The Saints will open the season by traveling to Clarke Prep for a Thursday night game on Aug. 28.
On Sept. 5 Patrician will travel to Escambia in the first region game of the year. The Saints will host Class AA runner-up Southern Academy on Sept. 12.
On Sept. 19 Patrician will host Mobile Christian and then travel to Wilcox Academy on Sept. 26. Patrician will host Lowndes Academy on Oct. 3 and then travel to Sumter Academy on Oct. 10.
Patrician will travel to Marengo Academy on Oct. 17 and then end the season with consecutive home games against Warrior Academy on Oct. 24 and arch-rival South Choctaw on Oct. 31.
