Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wayne Craven of Collinsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Daine, to Dr. Forrest Charles Ward, son of Kenneth Irene Slater of Birmingham, Ala., and Bill and Jan Ward of Memphis, Tenn.
The wedding will be Saturday, March 13, 2004, at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Memphis.
Miss Craven is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cluis C. Daniels of Collinsville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Craven Sr. of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received a bachelor's degree in communications, with an emphasis in public relations, from Mississippi State University.
Miss Craven is the director of marketing at the Institute of Cardiovascular Wellness in Memphis.
Dr. Ward is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Ward, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Staten of Memphis.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Craigmont High School and received a medical doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis.
Dr. Ward practices medicine with Bartlett Raleigh Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Physicians of Memphis.
A reception will be held at the Peabody Hotel Continental Ballroom following the ceremony.
