The Russellville Police Department arrested three adults after executing a search warrant at a residence early Thursday morning.
Police Chief Chris Hargett said officers executed a search warrant at 301 High Street in Russellville. Tim Moore, 45, and Susan Moore, 38, were arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and seven counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Tim Moore was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Amy Renee Fretwell, 19, of Spruce Pine, was arrested and charged with seven counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Hargett said that marijuana, prescription narcotics and a marijuana plant were found in the residence.
"The contributing charge stems from the adults knowingly allowing minors to use drugs in the residence," Hargett said.
According to the Alabama Criminal Code, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance are all Class C felonies, and are punishable with one year and one day to 10 years in prison upon conviction.
Fretwell was released on a $1,000 bond while the Moores were transferred to the Franklin County Jail. Bond for Susan Moore has been set at $7,500 while Tim Moore faces a possible bond revocation on prior charges of possession of controlled substance, Hargett said.
"The minors were released into the custody of their parents and the juvenile authorities have been notified," Hargett concluded.
