A Russellville man was taken into custody Tuesday morning after allegedly raping and sodomizing a local woman.

Alexander Dion McClellan

Authorities said Alexander Dion McClellan, 30, Freddie Mills Trailer Park, Lot 9, Russellville, is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse.

Investigators said the 28-year-old victim was actually an acquaintance of McClellan and apparently had let him stay at her residence for a couple of days.

Officials said the victim stated the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday while her 3-year-old son was in the house.

Reports indicate the two got into a financial disagreement, which ended in McClellan attacking, raping and sodomizing the victim in the bathroom and forcing the victim to perform oral sex.

Investigators said the woman began to fight back and after McClellan finally gave up and walked away, the woman was able to get away to contact police.

Authorities said the victim called 911 around 1 p.m. after running to a neighbor’s house, leaving McClellan at her residence.

Reports show when Russellville police arrived at the residence McClellan was still inside with the 3-year-old boy.

Investigators said fortunately McClellan surrendered without incident.

Authorities said the victim in the case was has since been released from Russellville Hospital where a rape kit was performed and where she was also treated for injuries sustained in the attack.

First-degree rape and first-degree sodomy are both Class A felonies and are punishable by 10 years to life in prison if convicted.

First-degree sexual abuse is a Class C felony and carries a penalty of one to 10 years if found guilty.

McClellan is being held without bail at the Russellville City jail.
