Dearman, Long

Nelda R. Long of Meridian and J.L. Dearman of Quitman were married Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pickard in Collinsville, with the Rev. Parker Chancellor officiating.
Parents of the couple are Ouie A. Jones of Meridian and the late Paul R. Jones; Myrtle Howard of Quitman and the late Leonard Dearman.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Rudy N. Jones. She wore a three-piece off-white suit accented with off-white satin embroidered roses. She carried a bouquet of off-white roses accented with miniature peach roses and peach and white pearls.
Maid of honor was Kristie L. Skipper of Meridian and bridesmaid was Shana Britt of Quitman.
Danny Dearman of Greenville served as best man. Groomsman was Shane White of Quitman. Ring bearer was James Aaron Skipper of Meridian.
A reception was held at the home of the Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pickard following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Ann Jones, Connie Dearman and Sheryl Hensel.
After a honeymoon in Natchez, the couple resides in Meridian.
