Etha Yvonne DeVaney, 75, of Russellville, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012, at Burns Nursing Home.

Mrs. DeVaney was a native of Kennett, Mo., but had lived in this area for the past 50 years.

The funeral service will be Monday, May 21, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.  Officiating will be Truman Sutton.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 20, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Survivors include children, Sherry (David) Mims, Thomas (Bodie) DeVaney, and Randy DeVaney, all of Russellville; sisters, Barbara Tucker, Red Bay, Peggy (Jerry) Graham, Fulton, Miss., Kathy Hill, Tishomingo, Miss., Ruth (Ed) Nickolich, Fortville, Ind.; brother, Tommy (Dianna) Higgins, Honea Path, S.C.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Stella Higgins; husband, Horace DeVaney; son, Eddie DeVaney; one granddaughter; and three sisters.
