Howard McCarley, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Burns Nursing Home in Russellville.

He was born in Franklin County to Arlie and Lillie Mae Black McCarley.

Services were Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Greg Miller and Bro. Jerry Humphres officiating. Burial was in Pilot Hill Cemetery.

Survivors are his brother, Raymond McCarley and wife, Doris, of Vina; his sister, Dot Harrison and husband, Talton, of Haleyville; one aunt, Hazel Spencer of Guin; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Lois Jackson, and her husband Elvie.

Pallbearers were Doug Spencer, Mark Thompson, Mark McCarley, Jason McCarley, Zach Taylor, and Danny Harrison.
