Wanda M. Vickery

Wanda M. Vickery, 84, passed away Nov. 11 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Miss. She was born in Burleson and worked as a seamstress at Toll-Gate in Hamilton for 40 years. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Hodges.

Services were Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, Hodges, with Bro. Marty Guidry and Bro. Danny Carter officiating. Burial was in Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are her son Larry Vickery and wife Cathy; granddaughters Magen Alsup and husband Brad and Kayla Odom and husband Patrick; great-grandchildren Hannah Grace and Will Alsup, Parker Odom, Collins Odom and Callie Odom; one brother Wayne Hindman and wife Jo; nieces and nephews Michael Quinn and wife Gayra, Amy Hindman Burchfield and husband Kevin and Jason Hindman and wife Nicole; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Gib” Vickery; her parents, Aubrey and Melvina Hindman; a sister, Barbara Quinn; a brother, Wade Hindman; a granddaughter, Lorrie Ella Vickery; and a niece, Brenda Quinn.

Pallbearers were Ron Coats, Leslie Cantrell, Tim Frederick, Curtis Swinney and Thurl Ingle.

Visitation was Nov. 13 from 1-3 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, Hodges.
